Battlefront II fans have been clamoring for Clone Wars content since launch, and EA finally announced a new map and four additional heroes set in the Clone Wars era.
At this year’s EA Play, it was announced that DICE is working hard to create several new maps located on Geonosis, including the largest Battlefront map ever designed. Four new heroes were also announced for the game: Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi of the Galactic Republic, and Count Dooku and General Grevious of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

No official release date was given but the presentation closed by detailing Battlefront II’s rough start and the valuable feedback EA received from fans. They ae grateful for that feedback and are working hard to bring a brighter future to the game.
In addition to new Clone Wars content, EA revealed that new game modes are in development. The first mode mode features space-based combat, focusing on Hero Starfighters, that will release in July. The second is a “non-linear, large-scale” gameplay mode emphasizing capturing command objectives across the map set to release later. At the end of June, EA will be presenting a detailed road map for the future of Battlefront II. Stay tuned for updates.
