End of the Line: Part I

The blades met with a loud buzz. The Jedi knew that the sooner he eliminated the threat of his first assailant, the easier it would be to deal with the second. Seeing as the more eager of the two seemed to be the immediate threat, he could use this agent’s impatience to his advantage.

The Jedi waited for his opponent to attack again, which he did. However, the assassin made a fatal error, lifting his saber in the same attack that he had just used. This time the Jedi made him pay, quickly bisecting him at the waist. There was no gore. The lightsaber had immediately cauterized the wound.

There was no time to focus on his victory, the second assassin was nearly upon him. This one seemed more experienced than the first. He wasn’t nearly as careless as his now-deceased comrade.

The second assassin leaped forward to attack. The Jedi leaped to meet him. The two Force-wielding warriors sped toward a mid-air clash…
