The Mandalorian Cast Officially Announced

StarWars.com has announced the cast of the first ever Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian. The show will debut on Disney+ in 2019. Pedro Pascal has been cast in the titular role, “a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.” He is joined by Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte.

Executive producer, Jon Favreau shared his excitement for fans to see the series next year.

“We’re having a great time working with this incredibly talented group and excited for everyone to see what we’re up to”

The Mandalorian is currently in production. Jon Favreau serves as writer and executive producer for the series. Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson also serve as executive producers. Episodic directors include Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone WarsStar Wars Rebels), Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

Information regarding The Mandalorian has been scarce, so this is exciting news for Star Wars fans. Hopefully more information is on the way soon.
