Star Wars Message Boards: A History – Episode II

He does pop by now and again though, using another guise ;)

I guess that we could all think of old posters, some legends, some completely worth forgetting–although I can think of some current posters who should be completely forgotten, but hey-ho :p

But for the coming and going of people, I guess that it takes many people to make a community, and many people to make history. It seems a shame that for many of us, we won’t ever get the chance to meet the people we’ve interacted with on here in real life, although for some they have made that a reality.

The recent Star Wars Celebration saw some members of the OS and this site meet up and enjoy some time together. Who knows if in the future any of us will meet by chance, or by design, but its nice to know that in this mad world of wars and crimes and struggles on a daily basis, we have been brought together by a genre of film that we all enjoy and can relate to in certain aspects.

As with most communities, we don’t always see eye to eye, some people come here to vent, some come to giggle, some come to complain endlessly about their boring lives and some come to speak to people because they find themselves alone at times and just want to feel welcomed.

All in all, it takes lots of people to make a community, albeit an unreal world where we can be what we want to be, but we did it. And after all these years, we’re still going, but that is thanks to the legends of the past, the muppets who have passed through our little town and made it what it is, whether through chance or design.

So to of those people who came and went, to NM, to Stroup, to GG, to S P A C E R, to Gothie, to Lex to everyone that found our little town, I raise my glass, along with everyone will stay or go and who will come and leave.

;)
